Overland Saigon To Siemriep

Phnompenh, the capital of the Kingdom of Cambodia is located at the confluence of three rivers: the Mekong, the Bassac and the Tonle Sap. Once considered the loveliest city of Indochina, the colonial city still maintains considerable charm.

Angkor Wat is the most perfect of the Angkor temples. Built in monumental proportions on three levels, its symmetrical five tower layout symbolizes the peaks of Mount Meru and were designed to be a microcosm of the hindu universe. There is not only the grandeur, for every spot in the temple is ornemented with sculptures and bas-reliefs of wonderful detail. Monks from adjacent pagodas still conduct ceremonies in the site and tend to it, contributing to its excellent preservation, the best of any Angkor temples. Angkor is a UNESCO World Heritage site.

DAY 1: SAIGON – PHNOMPENH

Full day transfer by Shuttle Bus from Saigon to Siemreap (6hrs driving). On arrival, check – in hotel. Rest of the day is free to explore the City. Overnight in Phnom Penh.

DAY 2: PHNOM PENH - SIEMREAP – ROLOUS TEMPLES
In the morning, take boat cruise (No Guide) upstream Mekong River to Phnompenh Siemreap (5hrs cruising). In the afternoon, visit the Roluos temples dating from the 9th and 10 century. Return to hotel in early evening. Enjoy dinner at restaurant with Apsara Performance. Overnight in Siem Reap. (Breakfast / Dinner).

DAY 3: ANGKOR THOM – ANGKOR WAT
Explore Angkor Thom which includes the Bayon, Baphoun, Phimeanakas, the Royal Palace, the Elephant Terraces and the Leper King Terrace. In the afternoon visit magnificent Angkor Wat and end the day with a spectacular sunset at the mountain temple of Phnom Bakheng. Overnight in Siem Reap (Breakfast / Lunch)

DAY 4: SIEMREAP - DEPARTURE
The morning is free. Transfer to airport for departure flight. End of services. [Breakfast]
